Book: My Rainbow, 2013

Story Title: The Legend of Zalim Khan

School: Delhi Public School, Jaipur

Blurb: A dreaded bandit leaves behind three warring sons and the legend of a fortune that has the potential of changing their lives- forever

I live in the world of books, pirates and treasure chests. But could my story be about them? “Probably not,” replied my mentors, in one voice. So, I dug into the rich history of Rajasthan to write a story, not about eye-patch pirates, but about dreaded dacoits. Writing the story was challenging, but great fun. I’d think about my story all the time, fitting clues and completing the jigsaw in my mind first, before writing them down. I’ve realised that writing a story is hard work, where one has to sit still and write, and not just talk! Yet, that was the easy part. The toughest was writing this paragraph about myself. I hope I write more stories and read them out to my parents who love listening to me.
