Story Title: Breaking Through The Cocoon

School: C S, Academy, Coimbatore

Blurb: THOUGH THERE WERE thousands like her in Varanasi—a poor widow, a burden on society and broken in spirit—she simply refused to quit.

I am fifteen years old. I was born in Coimbatore and have lived in the United Arab Emirates for six years. I love music and books and plan on becoming an interior designer with a part time job as a radio jockey. My favourite books are the Harry Potter series and The Mortal Instruments. My hobbies include singing, dancing, reading, composing poetry and playing the violin. When I joined the book writing project, I used to think that writing a short story would be really easy and lots of fun. Yes, it was lots of fun, but let me tell you, writing a story is not a walk in the park. You have to work really hard on the plot. Only then can a reader enjoy what you’ve written.
