Book: My Rainbow, 2013

Story Title: The Interview

School: Delhi Public School, Jaipur

Blurb: A girl sees her new professor for the first time, and realises that she has seen him before - in handcuffs. Shocked and horrified, she is unable to decide which is true- what she saw then, or what she is seeing now. What if she is wrong? And what if she is not? Does it really matter? It was 12 long years ago…

Don’t wake me up early in the morning and I’m fine! I enjoy my studies and always do well in class. In fact, I don’t like my grades to drop and work hard at them. My father introduced me to books and I love reading. My mother is a math teacher and hones my number skills. I score full marks in Sanskrit. I dream of studying at Cambridge. Before I began writing my story, I used to think that writers have it really easy- all they do is rock in their chairs and drink endless cups of tea. Writing was thoroughly enjoyable, but it is also serious business. I am a perfectionist and had to do it just right. I hope everyone enjoys my story!
