Book: My Rainbow, 2013

Story Title: Adventure of the Mysterious Flagstone

School: Delhi Public School, Jaipur

Blurb: A vacation on an island turns into a nail biting adventure when three boys stumble upon evidence of a greedy man’s sinister designs. What began as a simple enough mystery, is rapidly threatening to turn into a life and death situation. Have the boys bitten off more than they can chew?

For someone who wants to be a software engineer or CA, writing fiction seems a little off beat. But I do love to read and write. My favourite books are about mystery and intrigue, crime and adventure. But it is not as if I do not read other stories. It’s just that I like drama and adventure a little more. My sort of story has to hook the reader from the word go. My story is a bit like that, too. The challenge was to write one that my twin sister would read and enjoy! But writing the story was not easy. Each twist and turn had to be logical and plausible. It has taught me linear thinking. From a ghost story in an exam to a story published in a book—I have done rather well!
